RAMS Plus is a user-friendly simulation tool designed for PC. It enables users to model an air traffic control system, incorporating ATC procedures and the 4D performance of over 300 aircraft. The software excels in conflict detection and resolution, adapting controller actions based on real-time demand. Users can assign controller workloads according to dynamic conditions, manage runway sequencing in terminal maneuvering areas (TMA), and simulate holding stack operations. Additionally, it supports airspace routing, free flight, and Reduced Vertical Separation Minima (RVSM) zones. The tool also generates stochastic traffic patterns and features engaging graphical animations. For analysis, it produces a comprehensive list of events in text format. Originally, the Reorganized ATC Mathematical Simulator (RAMS) was developed by the EUROCONTROL Experimental Center (EEC) in Bretigny, France, and CACI Inc. in 1993. The official release of RAMS version 2.0 took place in November 1995. Today, RAMS Plus is exclusively developed, supported, and distributed by ISA Software.
