Departure Viewer

The Departure Viewer is a key feature of the Traffic Flow Management System (TFMS). It allows traffic management personnel to monitor departures from various airports and fixes. Users can customize the displays by choosing specific departure airports and fixes that interest them. The information shows the demand for each resource in time bins, along with a flight list and detailed history for individual flights. From this display, users can select one or more flights for route changes. When selected, the Route Amendment Dialogue (RAD) screen opens automatically, making it easier to choose and execute new routes. Rerouting options depend on the Coded Departure Route (CDR) database and available Trajectory Options Set (TOS). This system helps ensure smooth traffic flow in aviation.
