Regional Air Cargo Carriers Association (Racca)

The Regional Air Cargo Carriers Association (RACCA) was established in 2002 to advocate for on-demand cargo aircraft operators in the United States. These operators play a vital role in our logistics system. Their main job is to pick up packages and other cargo from smaller communities. They then transport these items to major airports. At these hubs, the cargo is combined with freight from various cities and loaded onto larger planes for longer flights to sorting centers. Additionally, these operators bring packages and cargo back from larger airports to smaller communities for local distribution. Most members of RACCA operate under U.S. Federal Aviation Regulations Part 135, which covers commuter and on-demand operations. However, some members fall under Part 121, which typically includes larger U.S.-based airlines, regional air carriers, and all cargo operators.
