easyJet is expanding its UK network with 18 new routes for summer 2027, adding connections from airports across Scotland, England, and London. The announcement represents a broad expansion rather than a concentration on the capital, with airports outside London accounting for most of the new services. Around one-third of the additions will depart from Scottish airports, while popular European leisure destinations feature heavily throughout the schedule.
The new routes will strengthen easyJet’s links to Spain, Italy, Germany, Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, France, and Montenegro, giving passengers in several UK regions more direct options for summer travel. Most of the new services are expected to operate twice weekly, although some routes will have different frequencies.
One of the most notable developments is easyJet’s decision to launch flights to Girona for the first time from the UK as part of the expansion. The Spanish airport will gain connections from both Liverpool and London Gatwick, giving the carrier additional access to Catalonia and the wider Barcelona region.
Six New easyJet Routes From Scotland
Scotland will receive six of the 18 new routes, with the additions divided between Aberdeen and Edinburgh. The expansion gives passengers in both cities more choices for European leisure and city-break travel without needing to connect through another UK airport.
At Aberdeen Dyce Airport, easyJet will introduce two new Spanish routes. Flights to Barcelona are scheduled to begin on March 31, 2027, while services to Palma de Mallorca will start on May 3. The two routes target different but highly popular types of summer travel, with Barcelona offering a major city destination and Palma providing access to Mallorca’s extensive resort network.
Edinburgh will receive four additional routes. easyJet plans to begin flying to Tivat in Montenegro and Hamburg in Germany on March 29, followed one day later by new services to Bilbao in Spain and Rome Fiumicino in Italy. The Tivat service will initially operate once a week, while the other additions are generally expected to operate twice weekly.
The Scottish expansion therefore combines established holiday markets with destinations that offer stronger city-break and cultural appeal. Bilbao and Hamburg, in particular, broaden the type of travel available from Edinburgh beyond traditional Mediterranean destinations.
England Gets 12 More Routes
England accounts for the other 12 new easyJet routes, and most of these will operate from airports outside London. Manchester, Newcastle, Liverpool, Birmingham, and Bristol will all benefit from the expansion, highlighting the airline’s continuing focus on regional connectivity.
Newcastle International Airport will gain a route to Larnaca, Cyprus, beginning March 31. The service is planned to operate weekly, providing another direct option for passengers heading to Cyprus during the summer season.
Manchester Airport will receive a new route to Bastia, Corsica, with flights beginning July 3. The service adds a French Mediterranean destination to easyJet’s Manchester network and gives travelers a direct alternative for reaching Corsica.
Liverpool John Lennon Airport will gain two Spanish routes. easyJet will begin flying to Girona on March 28, followed by Murcia on May 3. The additions are particularly significant because they expand Liverpool’s direct access to Spain while introducing Girona as a new destination within easyJet’s UK network.
Birmingham will also gain two new services. Flights to Milan Malpensa in Italy are scheduled to begin March 29, followed by flights to Tivat on May 3. The combination provides Birmingham passengers with another major Italian gateway as well as access to Montenegro’s Adriatic coast.
Bristol Adds Bulgaria and Southern France
Bristol Airport completes the list of non-London English airports receiving new easyJet services. From May 28, 2027, passengers will be able to fly directly to Burgas in Bulgaria, while a second new route to Montpellier in southern France will begin July 1.
The two routes give Bristol travelers different summer options. Burgas is an established gateway for Bulgaria’s Black Sea resorts, while Montpellier provides access to southern France and the Mediterranean coast. Their inclusion also demonstrates how easyJet is spreading its new capacity across a range of European markets rather than focusing exclusively on the most established city pairs.
Taken together, the regional English additions account for a substantial share of the 18-route announcement. They also reduce the need for passengers outside London to travel to the capital simply to access certain European destinations.
London Gets Four New easyJet Routes
London will receive four of the 18 new routes, although the distribution across the capital’s airports is relatively limited compared with easyJet’s wider UK expansion. The airline operates from Gatwick, Luton, Stansted, and Southend, and three of those airports will receive new services for summer 2027.
London Gatwick will gain two routes. Flights to Girona will begin June 3 and initially operate twice weekly before increasing to three weekly services from June 29 during the summer peak. Gatwick’s second new route will connect with Ajaccio in Corsica, starting June 30.
London Southend will receive a new route to Rhodes, Greece, with operations beginning April 27. Meanwhile, London Luton will gain a new connection to Thessaloniki, Greece, beginning May 1.
