European Commercial Aviation Safety Team (Ecast)

The European Commercial Aviation Safety Team (ECAST) was established in October 2006 as a counterpart to the US’s Commercial Aviation Safety Team (CAST). Its main goal was to enhance aviation safety across Europe. ECAST worked collaboratively with various stakeholders in the aviation industry to identify and mitigate risks. However, in March 2016, the initiative came to an end. Its functions and resources were then integrated into other teams that are part of the European Safety Risk Management (SRM) system. This transition aimed to streamline efforts and improve overall safety in commercial aviation.
