The International Council of Aircraft Owner and Pilot Associations, or IAOPA, is a nonprofit federation. It consists of 64 independent national organizations dedicated to General Aviation (GA). For over 35 years, IAOPA has been a voice for international general aviation. Together, these member groups represent more than 400,000 pilots. These individuals use general aviation aircraft for both business and personal travel. According to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), general aviation includes all civil aviation operations that are not scheduled air services or non-scheduled transport for hire.
