Calculated Take Off Time, or CTOT, refers to the specific time assigned by the Central Flow Management Unit (CFMU). This time considers the current air traffic flow situation as dictated by the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC). Essentially, CTOT indicates when an aircraft is expected to take off. It’s also known as the ATFM slot, which stands for Air Traffic Flow Management. Importantly, there is a tolerance range of minus five to plus ten minutes around this time. This flexibility helps accommodate minor delays and ensures smoother operations in the skies.
