Singapore Airlines is preparing a substantial inflight dining upgrade that will introduce more than 100 new and refreshed dishes across every cabin class. The initiative goes beyond simply changing the food on the tray, with the airline also revising menus, beverages, presentation, serviceware, and the way cabin crew deliver the dining experience. The result is intended to create a more polished and consistent experience from Economy Class through Suites and First Class.
The new dining program, called SIA Chefs’ Selection, brings together Singapore Airlines’ in-house chefs, guest chefs, and catering partners. According to the airline, the selection combines familiar comfort foods, regional favorites, and reimagined classics, reflecting changing passenger preferences and broader dining trends. Rather than introducing one dramatic menu change overnight, Singapore Airlines has chosen a phased rollout that allows different elements of the program to enter service progressively.
Singapore Airlines SIA Chefs’ Selection Introduces More Than 100 Dishes

The scale of the project is significant because more than 100 dishes will either be introduced for the first time or refreshed as part of the new program. This means the changes are not restricted to Singapore Airlines’ premium cabins. Economy Class passengers will also see new food choices, while passengers in premium cabins will receive additional enhancements focused on presentation, service, and beverage pairings.
Singapore Airlines says the development process has considered the entire dining journey. That includes menu design, seasonal ingredients, cooking techniques, beverage selection, presentation, custom-designed serviceware, and cabin crew service. The approach recognizes that passengers experience an inflight meal as part of the overall journey rather than as an isolated plate of food.
Yeoh Phee Teik, Singapore Airlines’ Senior Vice President of Customer Experience, said the airline’s changes were guided by customer feedback, evolving preferences, and emerging dining trends. This explains why the project extends beyond recipes. Singapore Airlines is effectively redesigning several connected parts of the onboard dining experience at the same time.
Premium Cabins Receive More Personalized Dining Touches
While the new dishes will appear throughout the aircraft, the most distinctive changes will be concentrated in Suites and First Class. Singapore Airlines plans to introduce special presentation and service touches for selected dishes in these cabins, giving the carrier more opportunities to differentiate its highest-end offering.
The premium experience will also involve beverages. Passengers in Suites, First Class, and Business Class can expect new wine selections, while travelers across all cabins will have access to new spirits. In Suites and First Class, cabin crew may also recommend particular beverages to complement individual meal selections.

That detail is important because beverage pairing can change the character of an inflight meal without requiring a completely different menu. Instead of treating food and drinks as separate elements, Singapore Airlines is emphasizing how they work together. For passengers in its most premium cabins, the cabin crew’s role therefore becomes part of the dining experience itself.
Singapore Airlines Dining Upgrade Has Already Started
Despite the size of the project, passengers do not need to wait until November 2026 to see the first changes. The rollout of the new and refreshed dishes has already begun, with Singapore Airlines introducing elements of the SIA Chefs’ Selection progressively across its network.
The phased strategy is understandable given the complexity of international airline catering. Singapore Airlines serves destinations across multiple regions, and introducing a large number of dishes requires coordination among catering facilities, suppliers, aircraft, cabin crews, and different operational schedules. A gradual rollout allows the airline to introduce the changes without treating the entire global network as a single launch event.
The remaining dining enhancements are scheduled for November 2026. These will include additional beverages, new serviceware, and further onboard service touches. Passengers therefore should expect the dining experience to continue evolving rather than changing completely on one specific day.
Inflight Dining Is Part of Singapore Airlines’ Wider 2026 Upgrade
The dining program is also connected to a much larger Singapore Airlines travel experience upgrade planned for November 2026. The airline is preparing to reveal an elevated end-to-end passenger experience in Singapore, with dining forming one component of a broader investment in the journey.
Other planned areas include next-generation cabin products, the KrisWorld inflight entertainment system, new amenities, high-speed connectivity, and on-ground services. The strategy suggests that Singapore Airlines sees the cabin experience as a collection of interconnected details, where food, entertainment, connectivity, seating, service, and airport experiences all contribute to how passengers perceive the journey.

For passengers, however, food remains one of the most visible parts of that experience. A new seat or entertainment system can be impressive, but a well-presented meal arrives directly at the passenger’s seat and becomes part of the flight itself. By introducing over 100 new and refreshed dishes, Singapore Airlines is making dining a particularly visible part of its broader 2026 product refresh.
The SIA Chefs’ Selection therefore represents more than a menu update. It combines new recipes with revised presentation, beverages, serviceware, and crew interaction across every cabin. With the rollout already underway and additional enhancements scheduled for November 2026, Singapore Airlines is positioning inflight dining as a central element of its next-generation passenger experience.
