Reference Speed (Vref)

Reference Speed, or Vref, is defined as 1.3 times the stalling speed when the aircraft is in the specified landing configuration and at its current weight. This speed is crucial because it must be reached as the aircraft crosses the landing runway threshold at a height of 50 feet. Achieving this speed is essential for ensuring that the aircraft performs as calculated during landing.
