An Airport Mapping Database (AMDB) is a Geographic Information System (GIS) database that outlines an airport’s spatial layout. It details the geometry of various features, including runways, taxiways, and buildings, which are represented as points, lines, and polygons. Additionally, AMDBs contain attributes that describe these features and their functions, such as surface type, name or object identifier, and runway slope.
