Anac National Civil Aviation Agency (Brazil)

ANAC, or the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil, serves as the country’s civil aviation authority. Established in 2005, it took over from the Department of Civil Aviation. The agency plays a crucial role in regulating and inspecting various aspects of civil aviation. This includes overseeing aircraft, companies, manufacturers, maintenance organizations, aerodromes, and training schools for aviation professionals. ANAC’s mission is to ensure safety and security in civil aviation while also enhancing service quality. By fostering competition, it aims to improve the overall aviation experience in Brazil. Although ANAC is linked to the Ministry of Transport, Ports and Civil Aviation, it operates independently.
