JetBlue Unveils New Mint Routes From Las Vegas to Orlando and Newark, Elevating Transcontinental Travel

JetBlue Airways has announced a major expansion of its premium Mint business class experience, unveiling new transcontinental routes connecting Las Vegas McCarran International Airport (LAS) with Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). This strategic move not only reinforces JetBlue’s presence in key leisure and business markets but also introduces premium service offerings to Orlando for the first time in the airline’s 25-year history.

The new Mint-equipped flights are set to redefine passenger expectations on these routes, with state-of-the-art amenities, elevated culinary experiences, and unmatched comfort—all tailored for modern travelers seeking a more luxurious way to fly domestically.

JetBlue Introduces Mint To Orlando: A Milestone For Central Florida Travelers

Orlando has been a foundational city for JetBlue since its inception in 2000, but until now, its operations from MCO focused largely on East Coast cities and select Latin American and Caribbean destinations. The announcement of Mint service to Las Vegas marks a pivotal evolution in JetBlue’s Orlando strategy.

Beginning October 30, 2025, JetBlue will operate two daily Mint flights between Orlando and Las Vegas through March 28, 2026. After the winter season, one of the flights will continue year-round. This expansion not only introduces lie-flat seating and luxury-level amenities to MCO passengers but also launches JetBlue’s first true transcontinental route from Central Florida.

Flight schedule highlights include:

  • MCO to LAS: 07:55–10:15 and 20:30–22:49
  • LAS to MCO: 11:25–19:20 and 22:10–06:45 (+1)

Dave Jehn, Vice President of Network Planning at JetBlue, stated:

“Orlando has always been an important city to JetBlue, and we’re excited to debut Mint service in this market with flights to Las Vegas. As we celebrate 25 years in Orlando, this marks an exciting new chapter for us.”

JetBlue Expands Newark Presence With Las Vegas & LA Flights

Simultaneously, JetBlue is reinforcing its network out of Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) with both expanded service to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and a new seasonal route to Las Vegas. This further consolidates JetBlue’s East Coast stronghold, giving travelers in the New York metro area more premium options outside of its traditional JFK base.

Starting January 5, 2026, JetBlue will launch twice-daily Mint flights between Newark and Las Vegas, operating through June 10, 2026. This seasonal route is designed to capitalize on peak winter and spring travel demand, though it is not expected to become a year-round service.

Flight schedule details are as follows:

  • EWR to LAS: 07:00–09:20 and 19:45–22:17
  • LAS to EWR: 10:30–18:35 and 21:15–05:10 (+1)

JetBlue’s seasonal LAX service from EWR, which was initially planned to end in October 2025, will now be extended through January 4, 2026, offering a competitive alternative to its JFK-LAX flagship corridor, which runs up to 11 times daily.

Affordable Luxury: Mint Business Class From $499 One-Way

To celebrate the launch of the new routes, JetBlue is offering Mint one-way fares starting at just $499, making it the most affordable lie-flat business class product on these routes. The timing is aimed perfectly for leisure and holiday travel seasons, giving vacationers, business travelers, and frequent flyers a compelling reason to upgrade.

Mint was recently named the Top Domestic Business Class in the 2025 J.D. Power North America Airline Satisfaction Study, further solidifying its place among the most desirable products in the skies. Unlike many legacy competitors, JetBlue offers transparent pricing with no hidden upgrade fees, a major attraction for both seasoned and aspirational luxury travelers.

What Sets JetBlue Mint Apart From the Competition

Since its launch in 2014, JetBlue Mint has continuously challenged the legacy dominance in U.S. premium cabins. What began as a boutique concept has matured into one of the most coveted business class products in North America, now available on 56 aircraft within the JetBlue fleet.

JetBlue’s Mint cabin is designed around privacy, personalization, and comfort. Each Mint suite includes:

  • Fully lie-flat seats with adjustable settings
  • Sliding doors for private suite environments
  • Tuft & Needle sleep amenities including cushions and comforters
  • 15-inch HD entertainment system with on-demand content
  • High-speed Wi-Fi that’s complimentary throughout the flight
  • Wellness kits and curated onboard dining provided by Delicious Hospitality Group, known for its Michelin-star pedigree

On the ground, Mint passengers enjoy dedicated check-in counters, priority TSA screening, early boarding, and expedited baggage claim, bringing the experience full circle from airport to arrival.

Strategic Growth Amid Fierce Competition

JetBlue’s Mint expansion comes at a time of increased competition in transcontinental markets. Legacy carriers like Delta, United, and American Airlines have spent years fine-tuning their own premium cabin offerings, often with a greater focus on frequent business travelers. JetBlue, however, has found a sweet spot by targeting the hybrid leisure-premium segment—those who want elevated comfort and service without legacy carrier pricing.

By establishing new Mint routes in Orlando and Newark, JetBlue is not only improving access to Las Vegas—a major tourism and convention hub—but also positioning itself as a formidable player in key East-West corridors. Its competitive pricing, modern fleet, and loyal customer base are all factors contributing to its sustained growth.

The airline currently operates more than 60 daily departures from Orlando, connecting to 27 destinations, with significant crew and training operations at its Orlando Support Campus. The Las Vegas route marks JetBlue’s first westward leap from Orlando, and the beginning of what may become a broader transcontinental strategy from Central Florida.

Looking Ahead: A Blueprint For More Mint Routes?

As JetBlue continues to refine its fleet and grow its A321neo program, more Mint routes are likely on the horizon. The airline currently deploys Mint on:

  • 35 A321-200s
  • 21 of its 37 A321neos

With these aircraft offering range, fuel efficiency, and cabin versatility, additional Mint launches could soon reach other underpenetrated leisure destinations or secondary hubs such as Austin, Nashville, or even New Orleans.

Moreover, JetBlue’s broader ambitions, including potential international growth in Europe and Latin America, could see Mint evolving into a globally recognized premium brand—not just a U.S. domestic disruptor.

Final Thoughts: JetBlue’s Mint Moves Reposition It In Premium Market

With the launch of Mint service on routes from Las Vegas to both Orlando and Newark, JetBlue is capitalizing on key market gaps and timing its rollout to perfection. The move not only underscores its loyalty to long-standing focus cities like Orlando but also demonstrates strategic aggressiveness in expanding beyond its traditional strongholds.

Affordable, luxurious, and operationally sound, JetBlue’s Mint is no longer just a disruptor—it’s a benchmark. These new routes don’t just add destinations; they reframe what’s possible for premium domestic travel in the U.S.

Whether it’s business travelers looking for a productive transcon environment, or leisure flyers who want to arrive in Vegas refreshed and stylish, JetBlue’s Mint is delivering a product that hits all the right notes—and at a price point that feels surprisingly down to earth.
