Perched dramatically above the Sea of Cortez on the rugged cliffs of the exclusive Cabo del Sol enclave, the Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo Del Sol has officially opened its doors. Long anticipated as one of Mexico’s most luxurious new coastal retreats, the resort blends contemporary Mexican design with the signature refinement of the Park Hyatt brand. Its debut comes after several delays, but the opening marks a significant milestone for Los Cabos’ expanding portfolio of luxury hospitality.
Early guests have already begun sharing first impressions, noting that while the resort is fully operational, the finishing touches are still underway. Landscaping across the sprawling property continues to develop, the spa remains unopened, and a number of rooms and residences are still actively under construction. None of this has dampened interest, though — for travelers who enjoy being among the first to experience a destination, the soft-opening phase offers a rare moment to enjoy a nearly-empty luxury hideaway before demand spikes.

A Category 8 Luxury Stay With Strong Award Potential
As a World of Hyatt Category 8 property, the Park Hyatt Los Cabos sits at the top tier of the program’s award chart. Standard rooms price between 35,000 and 45,000 points per night, while standard suites fall between 56,000 and 66,000 points per night depending on off-peak, standard, or peak dates.
Award availability is still evolving as the resort completes its inventory. Right now, December primarily shows availability for standard suites rather than base-level rooms. January offers just a single standard-room award night, though the picture improves significantly from April onward. Nights in April are pricing at 40,000 or 45,000 points, making it a more accessible time to redeem points if flexibility is possible.
Meanwhile, cash rates tell a similar story. Prices are highest during the winter and spring, with double-occupancy rooms beginning at $1,152 per night, but they settle into more reasonable territory from June forward — particularly as the warmer, storm-prone late-summer months approach.
Spacious Guest Rooms With Contemporary Coastal Design
The property is designed for travelers who expect elegance without austerity. Entry-level guest rooms begin at 649 square feet, offering patios or terraces, walk-in showers, soaking tubs, 55-inch TVs with Chromecast, and a clean, modern aesthetic that emphasizes light and space. As construction progresses, the resort will ultimately offer 163 rooms and suites, along with 19 private residences that extend the property’s villa-like character across the coastline.
Those seeking more space can opt for one-bedroom or two-bedroom villas equipped with private pools, kitchens, and expansive living areas — a layout crafted for privacy, extended stays, and families who want the conveniences of home without sacrificing luxury.
Suites With Private Pools and Scenic Vistas
Suite lovers may find Park Hyatt Los Cabos particularly compelling. The property opens with a strong suite inventory: 27 Plunge Pool Suites, 56 Deluxe Suites, and 5 Premier Suites, an unusually high proportion for a resort of this size.
The Resort-view Plunge Pool Suites span 956 square feet and include a 452-square-foot terrace finished with a plunge pool overlooking the surrounding desert. Indoors, guests enjoy a king bed, a serene living area, and a limestone-tiled bathroom with a deep soaking tub.

For partial ocean views and even more breathing room, the Premier Suites expand to 1,254 square feet, paired with a 560-square-foot terrace and a private pool capturing glimpses of the Sea of Cortez.

Five Pools, Expansive Wellness Facilities, and Elevated Dining
Even with its guestrooms still ramping up to full availability, the resort’s amenities are already capturing attention. Five pools anchor the property, including a beachfront pool that frames some of Los Cabos’ most dramatic coastal views. The heart of the resort’s wellness offerings is a 59,000-square-foot fitness and wellness center, one of the largest in the region, though the dedicated spa facility is still on the horizon.
Dining options span a wide range of culinary moods: a Mediterranean restaurant, a contemporary all-day Mexican venue, a beach club, multiple bars, a poolside option, and a café for lighter bites. The food-and-beverage program is designed to highlight local ingredients while leaning into the breezy sophistication that defines the Park Hyatt brand.
Beyond the hotel’s core amenities, the staff can arrange signature Los Cabos experiences — whale shark snorkeling, art walks in San Jose del Cabo, and tee times at the famed Cabo del Sol golf course originally designed by Tom Weiskopf.
A High-End Opening With More to Come
Despite a few remaining construction areas, the opening of the Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo Del Sol marks one of the most exciting luxury hotel launches of 2025. Its blend of architectural drama, contemporary elegance, and generous room layouts sets a strong foundation for what is likely to become one of Hyatt’s flagship properties in Latin America.
Guests willing to visit early will find lower crowds, easier access to award availability beginning in the spring, and a chance to experience the region’s newest coastal landmark at the very beginning of its story.
