Airspace Simulation and Analysis for TERPS, or ASAT, is a powerful Monte Carlo simulation tool. It employs statistical inputs related to various aspects of aviation. This includes flight dynamics, such as propulsion and performance, along with wake turbulence and onboard avionics. Additionally, ASAT considers geographical and geodetic factors, using digital terrain elevation data and identifying obstacles. Environmental inputs are also crucial, featuring standard and non-standard atmospheric data, as well as measurements of wind and temperature gradients.
The tool incorporates navigation ground systems and surveillance technologies like PRM, ASR-9, ARSR, TCAS, and ADS-B.
